I found this old Confederate Cemetery and thought it would make for great pictures, but what I ended up finding was so much more. It made me think about what these men stood for and what was important to them and their families here in the south. My brain started to wonder if these people were honored as soldiers or rather traitors. I have been to a couple of these cemeteries and I find that more often than not graves had been marked with wooden or poor quality head markers. Many of which have weathered away leaving the graves unmarked or unreadable. It makes one think that some of these men have been somewhat forgotten.

This barn is no longer standing. As Chattanooga moves closer to Ooltewah, some things are lost in the shuffle. This barn was one of those things.

What a beautiful day for a picnic. Temperatures around the upper 60′s to low 70′s and sunny. A nice breeze coming in off of Harrison Bay. Special thanks go to Donavan Davis for grilling for us. He was the man. Everyone brought some great food to share and we just had an awesome time. We will definitely have to do it again! Here are a few pics from the day, and there will be more to come.

I finally got the server up and running. I am debating on whether or not to install Windows 7 on it. In my Network Client Operating Systems class, we just blew away the XP Operating System and performed a fresh install of Win 7. I was amazed at how fast it went. I have installed every OS since NT/95 came out, and by far this was the fastest to install. The other nice thing about it was the drivers didn’t need to be loaded for each manufacturer, it was built right in. All in all the install took right at 17 minutes. It is going to be a shame once I purchase the IMac, and have it run with a Microsoft backbone! Best of both worlds I say.
I am going to be working on my new media server this evening. Hopefully I can back up all my photos and music to this one fast server pc, rather than using the external WD drive to carry the load. Plus having a dedicated server will be nice to set up shares and things that took so long running over usb 2.o with the external. Then perhaps I will do some homework. That sounds like fun, I know.
